A California sparkling wine, a Canadian Pinot Noir Rose, a New York state Gewurztraminer, a California Petit Sirah, and a Canadian ice wine were the Sweepstakes winners on May 6, 2011 in the 30th annual Riverside International Wine Competition.
A total of 48 judges evaluated more than 1930 wines at South Coast Resort in Temecula, California and found some rare treasures from many emerging wine regions, including New York, Virginia, Missouri, New Mexico and even Wisconsin.
Our exceptional list of professional judges evaluated wines by using regional identity as one guideline. Moreover, wines in major categories were judged in vintage groupings to allow older wines to be judged only with their peers.
A key to the results this year is that we offer without additional charge such instant-print options as medal certificates, case cards, shelf talkers, and personalized table tents (put your comments for your wines on our site and build your own printed materials).
