2007 Competition Information
The 26th annual Riverside International Wine Competition took place on May 4-5-6 in Riverside, California.2007 Competition Results are in!

A Napa Valley sparkling wine, a Washington rosé, a New York Riesling, a
Paso Robles Zinfandel, and a dessert wine from Mendocino were the big
winners at the 26th annual Riverside International Wine Competition.
The event, in which gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded, took
place May 4-6 at the Marriott Hotel in Riverside Community, and was
supported by the Temecula valley Wine Society.
The five sweepstakes-winning wines were:
- Non-vintage Mumm Napa Brut sparkling wine, Napa Valley, Reserve ($25)
- 2006 Barnard Griffin Rosé of Sangiovese, Columbia Valley ($11)
- 2006 Chateau Lafayette Reneau Riesling, Finger Lakes, New York ($15)
- 2005 Victor Hugo Zinfandel, Paso Robles ($18)
- 2005 Navarro Muscat Blanc, Anderson Valley, Late Harvest Cluster Select ($59)
Forty-four professional wine judges evaluated 2,251 wines and awarded 7.9% of the wines gold medals; 26.5% silvers, and 23.9% bronze medals.
Results of the competition were posted on the competition web site (www.RiversideWineCompetition.com) within two hours of the conclusion of the event. The site also permits wineries to download and print certificates for medal-winning wines.
